Gwinwood is located on Hicks Lake. The property includes 650 feet of developed waterfront and over 700 feet of natural waterfront, including significant shoreline along the Hicks Lake wetland. The park-like setting includes about 18 acres of forested land with first-generation, second-growth timber, 4 acres of open meadow lands and 7 acres of undisturbed wetlands. The property supports a variety of native plant and animal species with great care taken to ensure their survival. The buildings on the site were built and are maintained to fit the context of the environment.
