Overview
Operated by the Yelm Prairie Historical Society, the Yelm Historical Museum features revolving displays from Yelm's rich history. Displays include artifacts from the time when the Yelm Prairie was managed by the Nisqually Tribe to early pioneer settlements at Fort Nisqually to the early 20th century period, including a buggy from the 1880's.
The Yelm Historical Museum is filled with history with close ties to Mount Rainier National Park due to Yelm’s historical gateway to the mountain before modern roads made accessing the park much easier.
The Museum is staffed by volunteers from the Yelm Prairie Historical Society and is open Friday and Saturday from 12 PM to 4 PM.
