Guide to Capital City Pride
Celebrate and support the LGBTQ+ community during Olympia’s annual Pride parade and festival.
When a group of local drag queen performers and students decided to hold Pride in Olympia in 1991, it marked Olympia as the first small town celebrating Pride in Washington State. Several hundred people attended this initial event. More than 30 years later, nearly 15,000 people attend the annual Pride parade and festival in Olympia.
Every year Pride welcomes friends and family to come together to celebrate and uplift LGBTQ+ and allied communities. This year's highly anticipated Capital City Pride festival promises to be a vibrant and inclusive event featuring a wide array of activities, performances, and festivities.
