Experience Olympia & Beyond is thrilled to announce our partnership with the State of Washington Tourism and the Tread Map mobile app to share Thurston County’s amazing outdoor recreational assets with the world, and to help guide guests to the locations that will best meet their needs.

TREAD Map is a hyper-local trail mapping app built by outdoor enthusiasts in Washington State who understand what users want to know. Is a tree down on the trail? Is the parking lot full? This app delivers real-time updates that alert users to current conditions. It also equips outdoor enthusiasts to:

  • Access and provide real-time trail conditions
  • Post-trip reports, photos, and videos
  • Share local experiences
  • Connect with other trail enthusiasts

Known for its expansive and varied trail system, Washington State has been discovered by adventure seekers. As a result, some of the most popular trails are overused. TREAD Map specializes in offering alternatives to popular trails so that you always know where to go.
